Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is the gold standard treatment for obstructive sleep apnoea and delivers continuous mild air pressure to keep the airways open. The CPAP system is comprised of a CPAP machine and tubing, which attaches to the CPAP mask (either nasal CPAP mask, nasal cannula prongs or a full mask).
